Mission

Company 42 is committed to providing tailored veterinary management training to help veterinary owners, practices, and veterinary management professionals develop their skills, personnel and practices to reach their professional and business goals.

About the Consultant

Shelley Johnson, CVPM is dedicated to improving companion animal health through teaching responsible, efficient and profitable veterinary management within veterinary care centers and learning institutions worldwide. Her experience as an on-the-job trained veterinary assistant in growing AAHA practices had provided a platform and working knowledge of the balance required for high-quality patient care and good employee symbiosis. In combination with over 20 years of working in the veterinary profession, she has developed a sensible approach to the many facets of daily practice management by combining her practical experience, education and professionalism. Shelley has effectively blended her 15 years of management training and experience with her enthusiasm to teach.

For the last 9 years, Shelley has been a leader on how to effectively tele-manage veterinary practices. Sharing her experiences as a tele-manager has helped veterinarians throughout the US to construct unique, effective and successful management solutions when faced with personnel relocation issues. This experience has added a distinctive characteristic to Shelley's ability to see the big picture and blend out-of-the box possibilities when working with veterinary teams.

In 2006, Shelley founded Company 42, LLC. Since then, she has diligently provided tailored management training for small animal practice managers in general and emergency practices. The vision, training, organization and dedication she brings to a project places her above the bar. She enthusiastically contributes to the growth of the profession via mentoring, written articles, speaking engagements and committee work with a variety of veterinary associations. She is an active member with AAHA, VetPartners®, VHMA and SHRM.
